Details of the Badgers Day held at South Essex Golf Club in June 2011, won by Mark Doughty.

Our last meet of the 2009 - 2010 Badgering Season took us on a welcome return to South Essex Golf Club, with prizes and sponsorship provided by those generous chaps at PIP Electrical who were out in force.  Well, they turned up at least.  South Essex would produce the highest number of attendees for a Badgers Day ever with 38 Badgers and guests in attendance; unfortunately it also produced the highest number of 'sorry, got to piss of earlys' hence why the photos make it look like Chris Knapp and Genty walked away with the majority of the prizes on offer.  Some chance.

Winning team was won by Nigel Smith and Chris Knapp, with the bottles of wine being some compensation for having to share their rounds with Marco and his guest Russell.  No wonder Nigel wanted to leave early, four and a half hours of Marco is enough for anybody.  Winning Guest was Alan Skinner with 35 points.  With Chris enjoying the view from the winners rostrum is was only fitting that he should pick up the Longest Drive on behalf of Peter Gallagher, with Longest Drive won by Mark Doughty.  Last Place aka The Turd was won by sponsor Gary Pascoe, his business is obviously in a lot better shape than his swing.

Winning Team - Chris Knapp (last man standing and accepting on behalf of his team), Marco Franchi, Nigel Smith, Russell Pooley

Winning Guest - Alan Skinner (accepted on his behalf by his host Tony Mills)

Longest Drive - Peter Gallagher (accepted on his behalf by Richard Gent)

Nearest the Pin - Mark Doughty

Last Place (The Turd) - Gary Pascoe (accepted on his behalf by Chris 'Shit Licker' Knapp)

On to the big money prizes, and third place was won by Chris Knapp on count back form Gary Lang, both on a credible 35 points. One point ahead on 36 was our Nude Golf World Champion Marco Franchi, a good performance when you bear in mind how restricting he finds clothing is to his normally naked swing, but our winner was Mark Doughty with an impressive 37 points, considerably more than his beloved West Ham have managed for a long time.

3rd Place - Chris Knapp

2nd Place - Marco Franchi (accepted on his behalf by Chris Knapp who must have misheard it as Eugenio Caruso)

1st Place - Mark Doughty
